TEEN THERAPY

Teenagers are at that joyous time of testing out being an adult by exerting their control and independence, while also testing out decision making.  This can be both infuriating and frustrating to both the teenager and the parent.  Through therapy, it is my goal to help ease this transitional time by providing your teen with the tools necessary to function at home, school and adulthood.  Every teenager responds to therapy differently, so I will adjust my therapy to each teenager with the understanding that not every teen wants to sit and talk the entire session.  It is easy to forget that when a teenager becomes withdrawn, moody, has a change in behavior or rebellious that they are not just being dramatic; they are experiencing situations and feelings that can often times be overwhelming.
